My new son
« on: September 06, 2007, 05:42:12 PM »
A month ago my wife & I started the adoption process for a new born baby boy from the state of California. My wife flew out, was in the delivery room for the birth.  Baby is healthy 19 inches 7.5 lbs  My wife left the hospital with Jesse Turner My wife has family in California. 3 hrs from where the baby was born. So she stayed there with the baby, while Im home with 6 yr old twin girls. If you think youre tuff, spend 3 wks with 6y/o twin girls!!! Me & the girls flew out for a week to see mom & new baby brother. It took a month for California & michigan get all the paper work done. Birth mother was Great.( An angel in our eyes) I pick up wife & baby at the airport tomarrow morning after work. Whats this got to do with this forum??? His first gun---Nef 357MAX on a tamer stock with 16.5 barrel &williams peep sight.   Jay

PS The women in your house taking care of our kids are tougher than any of us.

Congratulations! That little guy will be tougher than nails from having two older sisters. There will also be the humility of being dressed up like a baby doll, the proud parents take the picture of the girls with their 'little guy' only to use it later when he is about 12 to 14 to bring him down a notch or two. Enjoy your young family, celebrate everything.

Congratulations!!!  There just isn't anything better on Earth than children.  Spend every minute you can with them because they grow up way too fast.  Mine is 21 now and, sadly, I don't get to see him all that much.  Sounds like you got the jump on getting him started right by fixing him up with his first gun.  Excellent!!!

Glad to hear that they are on their way home, actually should be there by now.  It took you less time to get your son than for us to get the .357 barrels.  No word from Gardner, MA this week.  I sent an email this afternoon checking the status of the order.

Have fun with your children and enjoy them.  Mine are now out of the house and most have families of their own.  Last week I attended my first soccer game for a grandson (his first game too, 4.5 yo).  It doesn't seem that long ago that I was watching his dad play soccer.

Have fun with them,
Doug
