Sidekick sight options
« on: September 11, 2007, 09:26:44 AM »
I am looking at upgrading to a different open sight set-up for my Sidekick. I presently have the Williams Fire Sights that came with it, they work well out to about 50yds or so, but would like to find something that is a little more precise out to 100-125 yds, maybe a williams peep. I was wondering if anyone here on the forum has upgraded their sights and if so what worked for you. Thanks

Williams WGRS-HR can be purchased from H&R/NEF for $18, plus a couple dollars for shipping. I can keep 430 to 460 grain all lead conicals under 2" at 100 yds with my Huntsman using the front Fire-Sight and Williams WGRS. The Fire-Sight could be smaller diameter, but works ok. The height is fine for my Huntsman.

Does the WGRS use the scope mount holes for mounting or does it go in the same place as the existing sight ?

It uses the two scope mount holes closest to the chamber.

What chamber? ;) Yeah, the two scope mount holes closest to the hammer. It comes with a .093" diameter aperture if you are wondering.
