Trap preperation
« on: September 03, 2007, 08:14:16 PM »
It's getting close here in Ne. I need to get a start in prepping traps. I bought used foot holds with speed dip on them. If I boil the speed dipped traps and re-dip them with Log wood dye, will the log wood stick to the trap?

The logwood dye adheres to a light coating of rust.I am afraid it won't do what you want , to previously dipped traps.
If you want to remove the dip==soak in gasoline or coleman fuel. For dipping your traps= avoid gasololine and stick to coleman. But for removal, gas will work. Also get out the steel brush.
