G2 and hammer extension
« on: September 27, 2007, 09:05:30 AM »
Is anybody using a hammer extension on their G2?  I tried on my contender and it would misfire occasionally.  Enough anyway that I took it off and never had the problem again.  I was wondering if the G2 suffers from the same problem.   The trigger on the G2 is bigger and sits up higher than the contender and so it is difficult to get my thumb in to cock it and I am hoping I can use one it.

Get taller rings for your scope.

No problems with my hammer extension on my G2.  I've had problems with extensions on my Encore's though.

I like the Stratton hammer extension from Stratton Custom or Midway.

It's a very light alloy design and fits all three T/C pistols. I've never had a misfire with a T/C. Were you shooting handloads or rimfire?

My G-2 has quite a whack of the hammer, I can't imagine a misfire unless there was a problem with the ammo.
