KYBOY Yes, the partitions. I have been using PB's for the most part. Thinking of switching. I just hate to lose that easy loading.
Really you do not have to loose the easy of loading - well just a little bit - there are so many different sabots out there today to fit a variety of 50 cal barrels you can find find the right one for your barrel...
Exanple MMP makes three diofferent .451.452/50 cal sabots (actually 4 but the fourth is the old style plastic)
MMP - HPH-12 - thickest variety of the sabot - Hornandy bullets usually come with this sabot and in most guns are difficult to load..
MMP - HPH-24 - This is probably the most sold variety and is thinner than the 12... I use this in my Remingtons, A&H, Omega, GM sidelock barrels, TC barrels
MMP - HPH-3p-EZ load the thinnest variety for those really tight barrels - comparable to the TC super glide sabot.
Harvester Regular Long petal sabot - comparable to the HPH-24
Harvester Regular Short petal sabot - comparable again the 24 but with shorter petals for the 240 250 260 class bullet
Harvester Crush Rib sabot for really tight barrels like the 3p-EZ load sabot
What rifle are you shooting?
