Lee 44 Magnum Dies.....???
« on: September 23, 2008, 11:12:52 AM »
I recently aquired Lee 44 Mag Dies. They came in a red container with a small scoop and a shell holder. There was no paperwork of any kind with them. I wanted to know if they are carbide or steel ? I went to the Lee Precision site and left an Email, but have not received a response yet. It has been a couple of days. If somebody has some information on this caliber of die I sure would appreciate it. I'm not sure Lee only make carbide dies in this caliber or not, because the site says with carbide you don't adjust when sizing case, but steel you adjust a fourth of a turn or two thirds turn of the die. Thanks for any info....ELMO

Pick up the sizer die and look into the hole. If it's carbide you'll be able to see the insert. If you can't it's NOT carbide.

I reckon the dies are carbide, because there is what looks like a sleeve in the sizer. Thanks for the help....
