Here is the proposed bill strait from the Wisconsin legislature webpage
http://www.legis.state.wi.us/2007/data/SB-162.pdfThe write-up, as currently written, is quite vauge to me. In my opinion, it was probably purposely submited that way so as to mislead the people who really want to know exactly what the intentions of this bill entail, while catering to the real threatening radical groups of this country - PETA & HSUS. I also think that typical suburban housewife types will be happy with simpley scanning the bill headlines on this and feel secure, without ever digging into it further. Symbolism over substance seems to be the prevailing trend these days. The proposed bill, if passed, likely won't do dick for anyones quality of life, but by GOD there are a few leftists whackos out there who will *feel* better.
To me, this bill was submited as if there is a problem out there with guys kicking and beating their dogs. Safe bet is nothing could be further from the truth. However, this proposed legislation is aimed toward taking one of the many needed baby steps to humanize animals and criminalize (white heteralsexual males who hunt) humans. If I have the liberal leftists and their WHACKO supporters pegged correctly, this bills intentions are aimed at making a criminal out of any animal owner who scolds or disciplines their pet.
In coming years, it would not surprise me one bit if the leftist WHACKOS submited legislation with the intent of supporting manditory assigned animal psycologists to interview potential and/or existing pet & animal owners.
I might otherwise give this proposed bill more credit, but anything introduced by Fred Risser and company automaticaly raises red flags. That damned "
D" behind their name gives it away. As of late, Democrats seem to want to pass legislation that is contrary to human nature and the values that made this country great over the last 200+ years
I saw on the HSUS webpage that they support this SB 162. That should tell you all you need to know.
