i think ive been ripped off
« on: February 01, 2008, 11:44:08 PM »
I think ive been ripped off for the first time on the internet. Anyone live near spokane wash. that can make a road trip to shake a guy up. I bought a marlin cowboy to have customize and a guy on the castbullet forum (not here)RvPilot wanted an original stock as he had put a pad on his and wanted to trade. I sent him my stock over a month ago and after a week he emailed me and said that he didnt like it. The deal we made was that he was going to send whichever stock he didnt like to Clements as hes building my gun. Now he doesnt answer emails or pms. Hes been logged on to the cast bullet site at least twice in the last couple days. He logs on quickly and leaves. Others have tried to pm him too and he wont respond. Hes even got his own website http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=28814066 and ive left messages there too and no replys. I guess theres actually people out there that would risk there name for a 150 dollar stock!!!!

There are people out there that would risk even more for a lot less than a $150 stock. It is disturbing to hear that to say the least. In an incident this week at work, one employee helped another employee, who helped another employee, etc, etc take $50 worth of parts from our facility. In all, at least four people will lose their jobs ... maybe more. What are people thinking these days?

In your case, I hope another forum user who knows this person will pressure him to do what is right.

Lloyd, do you have an email address on this guy or some way that we will all know him, if he appears here? If you do PM me, please? I just went through a bad experience, over on GA, on a model 25-5.

Lloyd ~ had something similar happen on one of the Diesel forums. Luckily, mine involve paypal w/visa. I alerted my peresonal friend, owner of the forum and filed w/paypal. After waiting paypal said sorry can't help and so I had visa refund my $ and go after paypal. The guy came out of the woodwork apologizing etc want to kiss and makeup. Found out later the website banned him w/impolite language ~ just not sure as my friend only would say he had some strong words w/him and now there are restrictions accountability procedures developed. So, that said, let the mgmt know and IF they can help they will.

Lloyd you sound like a sterling character going out of your way to help a fellow member ~ really hate to see it happen.

Good luck ~

Sorry to hear that Lloyd, if this would've happened a year ago I when I was still living in Spokane I could've helped ya out.  I'll take a look at his profile and see if he looks familiar.  It's just a damn shame what some people do!
