Where is your favorite fly shop and why.

One of my favorite places to go is a little fly shop in Creed Colorado. Its called the Rambling house. The store is done in the same fathion that it was in early 1900's and the servive is just the same personal and knowledgebale. They have a great selectoin of flys and they can tell wich one will work on wich stream or pond even if its on private land. And when you get thirst from all the jaw jacken you can go across the street to old fashion soda fountain and order a malt, shake or anything else you want. Persnally I just love the place and look forward to every trip. Do you think this could be because I learned to fly fish hear.

My favorite fly fishing shop is Dan Bailey's in Livingston, Montana.  They have the famous walls upon which there are tracings on wood panels of the trophy trout taken in the area for many years. In addition they have the flytiers working in a location where one can watch.  Perhaps that isn't such a good thing since I get humbled each time I see them in action.

I'd have to say Orvis's in Manchester Vt. Quite a place... and only 30 min. away from the house....
Blow a vintage Circe dinner bell and they will come...
