Remington core-lock bullet on the 30-06
« on: September 29, 2007, 09:07:21 AM »

The Remington 165 grain SP and 4350 did excellent at the 100 yd target to-day:I also had no problems with fired cases they all ejected with no problems.I have to say it was the bent spring that was installed at the factory;I shot a total of 20 rounds since removeing and polishing the parts and reinstalling it correct.

Tim: IMR 4350 would think FPS 2550 low side 20 thousands off the land.
I ran out of CCI large rifle primers and a friend gave me a box of winchester primers I never in the last 35 years of reloading seen a box of primers that stated
LARGE RILE AND MAG RIFLE PRIMES:THERE ARE NO NUMBERS LIKE NO#8 OR #8 1/2
I REALLY DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE MAG: PRIMER WHICH THE BOX SAY OR LARGE RIFLE???
BUT THEY WORK

It's pretty hard to beat the .30-06 and the Remington 165 grain Core-Lokt bullets.  Great shootin'.

Dunno what to tell ya on the primers, I have Win large pistol primers that are marked for standard or magnum, but all my Win rifle primers are marked  large rifle WLR, the Win mag rifle primers are marked just Magnum Rifle, WLRM.

I have some of the same WW primers.  I use them for my magnum and ball powder loads.  I purchased them about 15-years ago.
