Here's a previous thread on big bullets in the 357mag.

FWIW, I think using 360DW brass would be a better candidate for getting all you can out of the 357mag with big bullets, short of hand rechambering to Maxi that is. ;)

Thanks Quick, I think I will order some of the DW .360 brass to experiment with. I also have the the Keith 170 gr. mold coming and will give it a try with the 13.5 grains of 2400 like was mentioned in one of the threads you posted. I believe it is a max load listed in the current Lyman Manual for .357 magnum. 1700 fps with a 170 gr bullet would be nothing to sneeze at - especially if it is accurate and doesn't lead the barrel too bad - will probably need to mix some lino in with the wheelweight.
 :)
Thanks again,
Dan

360 Dan Wesson brass, WSPM primers, 1.80" OAL, 16" barreled Win 94

180 grain Cast Performance WFN-GC, 18 grains Lil'Gun 2000fps

207 grain Custom LBT-Style WFM-PB 17.5 grains Lil'Gun 1875 fps

Both these are the most accurate out of my gun. I have gotten a little more velocity, but accuracy suffered
Thanks to you''uns from WNC,
