.308 Survivor questions?
« on: September 23, 2007, 01:33:31 PM »
Hello, folks,

I'm looking for a truck gun, and am leaning toward the .308 bull-barrel Survivor model. One distributor lists it as having "positive ejection"- does this model indeed have an ejector rather than an extractor? (I would prefer this.)

Also, how likely would I be to find someone to trade me a regular synthetic buttstock for the pistol grip/ thumbhole Survivor buttstock?

Thanks for your help! Regan

I think the 223 and the 308 have extractors and the 410/45 colt may have the ejector.

I have the 308 Survivor and it's an extractor.

It really all depends when it we made. If it is more than a year old it would be an ejector. They went to making all of their rifles to extractors in the past year. I would say you chances are pretty good on the trade thing.  Dale
