Really likes 57.5 grains of IMR 3031 and a Remington 300 gr.......4 out of five holes touching at 100 yards.......

What 45.70 loads are you getting good results from?

I have had results almost that good in my 1895. The components included Starline brass, Hornady 350 grain round nose and a maximum charge of RL-7.

Mine likes 51.0 grains of IMR 4064 and Remington 405 grain SP's. Groups about 1- 1 1/2" @ 100 yards with open sights and knocks our Florida wild hogs flat.

In my guide gun I've got great results with 3031 and Re 7.  The other day I tried some 2400 with 300 Hornady  HP's and got right at 1900 fps, good load and accurate.  After about 10 - 15 rounds though, it starts to get a little uncomfortable.

Mine loves a heavy load of Re#7 and a Rem 300 hp.  It will actually out shoot my Stevens 308 at 100 yards.

I've had decent results with anything I've tried, but in particular, RL-7 and VN-130.

This is a great topic.  If I get to go bear hunting next year I plan on getting a Marlin 1895 45/70.  Sounds like you all have some pretty good shooters!
