Let The Hunt Begin
« on: September 29, 2007, 02:40:18 PM »
Monday is October 1st and I have a couple of days vacation to get in some early season bow hunting. There has been a lot of activity under my stand in the past 3 weeks and I am hoping to get a doe in the freezer.

Here are the pics from my trail cams from around my stand ... http://bghi.us/photos/trailcam-0000 . No big boys yet but I know they are around.

I have to wait until the 5th to get out. Going on some private land near mount vernon. Good luck! You know if the does are there the bucks will be coming out soon.

Ohio brought it in on the 29th of Sept this year. I have not been out but might make a point of getting up a tree this afternoon. A bit warm to stick one but its all about the fun.

I just found out the guy related to the land owners isn't going this weekend so I can't go!>:( I am so ticked off right now I could scream. Here I've been psyching myself up for two weeks and he cancels because it's his anniversary. Like he didn't know that earlier? Sorry I'm venting. That stinks GRIMJIM.

Well I didn't see a thing except 2 squirrels. It was a bit windy and moon is still lighting up a lot. But it was great to sit in the woods. Going out again today and then back to work until Saturday. Did get a chance yesterday to put up a new ladder stand near a pond on a very well used deer trail though and move one of my cameras to cover the trail.

I saw 7, does and fawns, of course they were a couple hundred yards away in my neighbor's alfalfa.  None were kind enough to head toward my stand, and instead walked off to the south and crossed the road.
