Here is a little info on WFN WLN and LFN

WFN and WLN have the same meplat for a given caliber and weight

LFN have a smaller meplat than the WFN and WLN

LFN will be more accurate and have less drop than a WFN or WLN over long distance due to the smaller meplat (LFNs are a good rifle bullet)

WLN have a longer nose and smaller bearing area than a WFN
generally a WFN will be the more accurate than a WLN out of a revolver that is off alignment between the cylinder and barrel due to the extra bearing area.

WLN will allow for more powder room than a WFN, but will also give a longer OAL

WLN will allow for easier seating due to the nose starts to taper right after the crimp grove.  The WFN nose starts to taper around 1/3-1/2 up the nose after the crimp grove an therefor the bullet can be hard to seat sometimes.

My "go to" hunting rig is a S&W 657 Classic Hunter II.  It is topped with an UltraDot IV, and I load it with Cast Performance 250 grain g/c bullets.  These are sitting over 20.0 grains of L'il Gun and CCI magnum primers.

I don't have a chrony, but they gotta be pretty warm.  1200-1300fps range, maybe?
