  The Alaska Department of Fish and Game is advising hikers, naturists and campers to take extra precautions and stay alert for bears while in the field.
   
  They advise that campers wear noisy little bells on their clothing so as not to startle bears that aren't expecting them.

  They also advise campers to carry pepper spray with them in case of an encounter with a bear.

   It is a good idea to watch out for fresh signs of bear activity.

  Campers should recognize the difference between Black bear and Grizzly bear dung.

   Black bear dung is smaller and contains lots of berries and squirrel fur.

  Grizzly bear dung is larger, has little bells in it and smells like pepper spray.

Well, the story must be bogus, because I saw a study on TV that said that a black bear would kill you and eat you, but a grizzly would only kill you if you bother them--they won't eat you.  It was on TV, so it has to be fact--right?

           The Grizzlies didn't eat them..at least not entirely..as I recall, they found the face of one or the other..
