i got my first deer with a handi

i shot a 5 point sunday morning and the problem i'm having was the 243 sucked hair and hide in the entry wound.
 the bullet was recovered in the deer but no blood trail, has anyone else had this problem. it was a horaday 100 gr. interlocken

I killed two 8 pointers with my .243 last year.  Standing, broadside shots at 125 yards +/-.  100 gr. Sierras @ 2960 fps.  Neither bullet exited, the entrance holes covered themselves up with hide.  Good coyote round though...

Grandson shot a real nice 4x4 mulie with an 87 grain Hornady and 40 grains of IMR 4350.  Buck took about 25 steps and dropped over.  This was the second nice deer with that load for him.  It was a broad side shot at about 90 yards.
