well boys ya did good on helpin me find tha wesson site. now i am interested in the patriot line-in .45. i have looked at others, those still in the running are S&W, KIMBER and now tha wesson.
i particularly like the external extractor and find it offered on the wessons line in the patriot. the only other that has this feature, that i know of, is the kimber team match ll-at about $1300. i found suggested pricings for the other wesson's but not the patriot line. before i run out an look at these thangs-gas cost ya know-anybody got a feel fer tha price.
by tha way-if'n ya got some good thoughts on wesson products pass em on ta me. your reccomendations go a long way in the decision making process.

found a site which had prices quoted. patriot expert-$679  marksman-$649.
this is 1/2 the price of a kimber with the external extractor. now i'm assuming the external extractor is the same as the tactical extractor.
if my research is correct--apples to apples--there is not really a choice-the dw wins hands down over the kimber.
anybody got any prefrence of sight choice-fixed or adjustable. my first thought is fixed as it will be carried in tha vehicle.
thoughts appreciated

I have to agree, my Patriot 45 is the most accurate 1911 I have ever fired, much more accurate than I am, and I have owned several 1911s over the years. My DW 10mm Razorback is the same way. These guns are fantastic values, just as accurate, or more so than guns costing twice the price. I prefer adjustable sights on my guns, so that's what I have on my Patriot. Fixed sights would probably be more durable for a vehicle gun. One bonus is that Dan Wesson has excellent customer service, that can't be said about alot of manufacturers, so if for some reason you have a problem, it will be taken care of. Good luck!
