Rings and scope set up problem
« on: October 13, 2007, 04:34:34 AM »
I know I read a thread about this some time ago but can't remember the details. I changed my scope on my SB2 in 243 Win from a Nikon 32 bell using med rings to a Bushnell 40 and the bigger one doesn't clear the hammer now. I got it to clear but had to use high rings which I don't really like. Any suggestions on different ring size or manufacturer without modifying the hammer? I will go the mod route if needed but thought I would try a simple ring change first if there is one that will allow a lower set up. Thanks.

Use the Low Pro hammer mod in the Faq's, stay with High mounts, or get a scope without a Overgrown occular bell.

Try the medium Leupold PRW or QRW rings...or the Warne mediums...heck...you can even use the medium Dura Sights as well...
