No, I don't own one yet. I have been thinking about getting a revolver in 41 mag. Then I learned of the 414 SM and I got to get one! I learned that DW will make them special order but when I contacted them they said they are not currently taking orders for them. I am considering the 445 SM especially since the 414 brass seems a little scarce to say the least. But I will hold out for awhile. With deer season around the corner I have other expenses to deal with.

I know the feeling.  I've got a .445 SM that I'm ready to part with, so if you're interested, send me a private mail.

414SM brass can be found and midwayusa.

I have one with a 6in barrel and wonder how you like the 4in Steel Shooter?  A four pound gun makes for easy shooting.

Nope. They are out of stock.
Starline is the only manufacturer & they are out with no scheduled production date.
Bullseye shooting supplies is the manufacture for Dan Wesson label ammo.
They currently have loaded 414 SM in stock.

I just bought few boxes last week. Looks like the only current source for brass, loaded or unloaded.

Rob:
I have not shot it yet. The problem is I'm waiting for brass, since I'm a handloader. I have 500 cases on order with Starline, and if some more of us .414 fans out there order from Starline, I'm sure they'll make some sooner than later.
If you have shot your 6 incher, tell us about your experiences with it.

I just saw the other thread with all of the same information pertaining to brass and now realize what you're having to deal with.

I bought 250 pieces from Starline a couple years back and didn't realize it had become this difficult to find it. I understand for I also shoot a 41ae and found a 1000 pieces at a good price.  I sure hate looking for it on the ground.

I've been limited to 25 yards and haven't been able to find a place that I can shoot with more distance.

I'm no expert shot by any stretch but I'm able to shoot groups that pleases me however I haven't anyo bragging pictures to show you.

I've got to send mine back to DW for I supect the timing may be all little, it spits at me some.  I've been messing with the barrel/cylinder gap but haven't been back to the range since readjusting it.

I've tried Hornady 210's and Sierra of the same weight but lean toward the Remington 210 JSP which also shoots well in my Marlin.  Lil'Gun is the only powder I've tried.  The Sierra manual (handgun only) is the only published data I've found for reloading but got the LilGun data from a John Taffin article.

Thanks Rob for the interesting report and info on shooting this rare caliber. You are fortunate to have snagged a lot of brass from Starline. If only Dan Wesson / CZ-USA would get busy and produce a couple hundred of these fine guns!!! One can only dream, I guess.

If you are able to get the spitting problem fixed, you should be able to shoot 3 to 4 inch groups at 100 yards, assuming you can find a place to do it. That is typical accuracy for a DW revolver, even with iron sights.
