I use them for 223, 45-70 and 45 acp. The 45's are my own cast. Without the FCD I have alot of failures of the slide to go completely forward. The FCD solves that problem and that makes it worth a few dollars to me. The 223 dies I have are Lee dies and they also work just fine. The FCD came with them so I use it and my loads are darned accurate out of my AR. The 45-70 dies I have are also Lee but I had to buy the FCD separately. These rounds are for my Encore and are used for hunting wild hogs. These rounds are sometimes handled pretty rough and the FCD gives me piece of mind, something that comes in pretty handy when I'm hunting something that fights back. Again, they are worth a few dollars to me. Plus I don't think they hurt anything. I haven't done any test for accuracy with and without using them but they do what I want them to do. Just my .02.
