remington 600 Bolt release
« on: November 19, 2007, 09:39:41 AM »

OK...how do I remove the bolt from a Rem Mohawk 600?  I tried pushing the safety forward but that didn't work.  Couldn't find a bolt release in the normal position of my other Remingtons.   I know someone has this figured out.  Thanks in advance for the technique.

Lift the bolt handle!
Take a small screwdriver and go in along the left rear of the bolt!
There is a catch in there that needs to be pressed down in order to remove the bolt!
Once you depress the catch, slide the bolt back a little bit and remove the screwdriver and then pull the bolt all the way out!
When you put the bolt back in, the catch will automatically lock!

Thanks Chuck...I don't think I would have figured that out.  Appreciate your reply.
