Hello from Linn MO
« on: February 06, 2008, 05:24:48 AM »
Moved here a few years ago.  So far I am able to find a couple places to coyote hunt, but I deer hunt on my family farm in Waynesville MO.  My son got two deer there, I horn hunt, I did see two large bucks but both were 450 yards plus so I did not even try for a kill.  Got two coyotes so far, but I have only got to actually hunt twice so not bad.  I was a bird hunter but there are no Quail in MO and the Pheasants in KS are slim pickins.  Later

Hi ! I live in north central Mo. We have a few Quail but not like we had a few years ago. I used to have dogs but the quail got so few that I quit hunting them. I do believe they are making a comeback but it is slow. We have too many predators and they all eat quail or their eggs. We also have a lot of deer in our area (some nice bucks) and lots of turkeys. Not much public land close to where I live mostly private. I usually hunt on 150 acres of family farm.
