.22 AMMO

Just bought a plinking,target shooting 800 SQ. I know every rifle has a favorite ammo but I was wondering what everyone is shooting for ammo these days. I can go out and buy a box of every kind or maybe narrow it down by asking.. Thanks

I've had good luck with just about everything Federal sells.

Other brands work well in some guns, but not in others.  Across the board, Federals do well in most of my .22's.  Bolt, single shot or semi-auto.

The bulk Remington "gold" bullets seem to shoot best in most of my guns.  However, my CZ 452 likes the Winchester Power Points the best, and they are devasting on squirrels (though they are getting a little harder to find).

i shot rem bulk pack out of my ruger 10/22 i just bought a old stevens model 73 single shot and i bought some remington thunder bolts man it shoots these things awsome there a solid lead nose not a hollow point and there sold perbox by 50 they shoot so well in that rifle i might start shooting them in my 10/22

CCI Mini Mag HP is one of the  half dozen or so most accurate loads for me.  Has been since I bought my first brick 30+ years ago. Decisions, decisions! ;D  Even the bad ones aren't all that bad in my rifles.

I like the CCI 22 HV mini mags....they shoot best out of everything I have (especially my Sig Mosquito). I also like Federal, they shoot great and you can buy a box of 550 rounds at Wal-Mart for $11 and shoot all day
