Lubrication of the action parts is neither needed or desirable. The parts work great used dry, follow T/C's recommendation. I have not lubed any of my T/C frames for over 30 years without problems, even in wet southcentral Alaska. I do lube the hinge pin carefully, and wipe the outside of the frame and barrel with a rust preventative, but that's all. The only action parts I've replaced were worn due to battering, not to lack of lube. That's after many thousands and thousands of shots through each frame.
The reasoning behind T/C's recommendation is sound. When I shot IHMSA silhouette regularly in a large club, we could always spot the new guys who oiled their actions by the misfires on the firing line. They'd be frustrated and ready to toss their Contender in the trash. We'd take them aside, hose out the frame with Gunscrubber, and they'd be good to go for the next match. And this was often in mid-winter with snow on the ground and no dust or dirt to stick to the oil.
After 40 years T/C does know a thing or two about their guns.
