Making own duck/goose calls
« on: October 23, 2007, 11:17:52 AM »
Have any of you guys got into making your own calls.  I have a hair in my *** to try and make one.  I see you can get the reed materials on ebay pretty cheap.  I don't know why I always have to be tinkering with something....

You definitely have more patience than I do as I would last about 30 minutes trying before I became frustrated.

I have never tried to make one, however a lady's that used to work for me had her husband make me a turkey call once.  It works pretty good.

Good luck

I made a box turkey call a few years ago that I still use today.  It isn't as pretty as the store bought but has a sweet sound to it.

Hey Buckskin, let us know if you make one. Personally I have never made one but would also like to try it.
