savage 110 flat rear receiver what years?
« on: October 20, 2007, 06:11:18 PM »
Hello I love my Savage 110 in 7mm Mag ! I have the chance to buy one in 30-06  110 with flat rear receiver and round front where scope mounts go! What year did they go round on both ends of the receiver Where the scope mount goes! It has no iron sights and never had a scope mount, mounted on it! Like it was sitting in someones safe for a while! Had a trigger lock on it so don't know if it had accutrigger! But think its before (accutrigger) I'm new to the savage board but want to learn more about these rifles! Thanks Dale $300 to much for it!

IIRC, the round/round receiver bridge did not come to be until the time of the introduction of the Accu-trigger; so, maybe 4 years ago they switched. you may have an easier time dating the rifle by serial number range and Series letter designation.
