Just returned from Eastern Montana - Report

Hey guys had a great week - wish I didn't have to return to the grind. Shot Antelope buck 13" at 378 yds with 243 Ultra varmint fluted 95 gr CT right through the neck. Took Antelope doe at 275 yds with 308 Handi Stinger Mannlicher (pic in previous post) Took 1 Mule deer doe at 330 yds with same 308 factory federal 180 gr. Took another Mule deer doe at 420 yds with 35 Whelen Handi with Choate Ultra Varmint stock and 225 gr Nosler. Also shot pheasant, sage hen and sharptail every day. Just me and "Gunner" my 16 mo old lab havin a good time. Shot at some geese and a coyote but no joy on either. Now it's hunting around home here in NW Montana for Whitetail and Elk trying to fill the freezer. Anybody questions the accuracy of these rifles just needs to call me. Hope all of you are having a great hunting season wherever you may be.

Great trip and report, I know what you mean about the grind, just got back from a bowhunt in Ohio (unsuccessful) :'( , but had fun.  Sounds like YOU had a blast.

I'm jealous!

NW Montana covers more ground than a lot of States.  Care to narrow it down some?

I live in Libby Montana. I am the Justice of the Peace for Lincoln County the largest County in Montana. We are 65 miles from Canada and 35 miles from Idaho on Hwy 2. A truly beautiful place to live if you like to hunt,fish and the out doors. There's an open invite to any of you that want to visit the coffees always on. - Gary

Dang!

I may be up there sooner than later.  FWP is asking for wireless in their office there.  I believe we put in your network connection for the Supreme Court too.  I love the drive from the base of the dam over the hill to Hwy. 2 by Happy's Inn!  Neat old cemetery out behind the Venture Inn too, some dating back to Custer's time.
