Starting to like this moose hunting thing. I guided a friend here in VT on a cow only hunt a couple of weekends ago. 2nd hunt in two years. On day two we came across a lone cow, but she spooked quickly and ran off. We tracked her for an hour on bare ground and when we caught up with her Mike put a 140 grain .270 round thru both lungs. She didn't go far....558 lb cow, good eating size.
