Spent a large portion of a good Sunday afternoon casting (30) 2lb. lead balls. In short, what a major pain in the ass. I even burnt myself on my mould to add insult to injury.
There's gotta' be a better way to provide ammo for my toys. Cooking up all that lead with the smoke, fumes and smells scares me because if the potential health implications. Lead splatters and the possibilities of explosion due to moisture/water make this activity downright nasty.
Thank God, I only do this once or twice a year.
In a previous post, someone mentioned about using concrete moulds. I'd like to investigate this a little further. What types of mould material would be suitable for concrete? I don't particularly want to experiment by using my aluminum moulds if it'll ruin them. However, if aluminum is fine, I'll give it a try.
Thanks.
