Question for Alaska residents, or reg hunters

If all goes well, I'll get to hunt moose up there (Anchorage area) in Sept of 2009 and am wondering what type of rain proof pants/waders/boots you wear?

My friend says he just wears leather boots, with stocking feet hip waders on under them.
