Camo clothing recommendations
« on: January 10, 2008, 07:31:49 AM »
Help!  I recently received two sets of Camo, one from WalMart, and the other from Cabela's.   In the dim past (high school) we used to soak our shirts and other brightly colored clothing in cold salt water, which, it was said, would make the colors so they wouldn't fade.  IIRC, it seemed to work.

Questions:

1.D'you think that will work with present dyes and material?

2. If not, what is the best way to wash camo to minimize fading?

Thanks, all.

I remember my grandmother adding vinegar to the wash water or maybe rinse water when she was washing bright colored clothes to "set" the color.  But that was a long time ago and I had forgotten about it until I read your post.  Not sure how this would work with camos.
