Apples VS Oranges
« on: November 09, 2007, 05:15:16 AM »
Why is it that when somebody asks for example feedback on a CVA kodiak  rifle someone comes along and compares it to the  TC omega and says the omega is of  better quality and should buy it instead. the TC costs double the kodiak, of course it should be better. The  kodiak although not as refined as the TC will do pretty much the same thing as the TC which is put bullets downrange with accuracy just as close or equaling the TC. Why do people in the gun forums keep making these comparisons? When I ask for feedback on KIA Spectras  someone does not come along and say that the Toyota Camry which costs 2.5 times more is better and i should get it, so why does the gun crowd keep making these similar comparisons?

First...I really don't agree with this part of your question...

Just because it cost double...and is a little more refined...does not mean it is a better rifle to every one...They word "better" is subjective to the individual that is using the word...It intones that persons personal feeling on what they define is the best choice of the 2 being compared...and not all may feel the same way..

There are several reasons why folks do this when asked a simple question ...

!)..They are just trying to give you their input on their gun..cause they really like it...and figure you will too...

2) They don't like any BPI product and are trying to dissuade you from buying one

3) ..They really don't know anything about BPI rifles as they are built today..but..have heard all of the Internet horror stories that have been circulated around from individuals who used to be associated with them.a long time ago.and believe them over what the factory has stated..so they go about slamming the product any time they can..saying they are un-safe and woefully in-accurate...which they are wrong on both parts...

4)..They don't really have any input but just want to post something...

Take your pick...

I agree with Mac11700. I have a Kodiak Pro Mag and love it wouldn't trade, it is one of my most accurate rifles in my arsenal.
