I have owned over a dozen of em' and the only thing I don't like about them is that I can't seem to keep one. Mine have been utterly reliable except for one "problem child" I bought for next to nothing on gunbroker and I fixed it myself with $12 worth of parts I got free from Cobra by making a simple phone call.
The gentleman who designed these is now a member of the design staff for Kimber. They are simple, reliable, tough, light weight, easy to carry, and very utilitarian not to mention generally easy on the wallet. and a judicious use of a little fine sandpaper can improve the feel considerably. I like the Black ones with the "Melonide" coating as apposed to the plain stainless because I SWEAT heavily, so any carry piece I use gets a sweat bath every day, the stainless ones will eventually rust, but that melonide coating is like kryptonite to rust! It is the same coating process used on the hulls of the trident submarines and is not a "coating" in the traditional sense, but a chemical/plasma treatment that actually "grows" the finish on the metal. A file won't even scratch it!
I have carried one concealed for almost 3 years and I LOVE it! Even the looooong gritty DA trigger pull improves with use! Ithink they are the best kept secret on the firearms market today!
