Rifle Basix Triggers for 110
« on: July 30, 2007, 02:52:44 PM »
Has anyone installed a Rifle Basix Trigger on their 110?  My factory trigger is really stiff and was thinking if it was worth the money to put a new trigger on it?

I have used 2 of the Rifle Basix triggers on Stevens 200's. All Savage model 10 thru 116 including the Stevens 200 take the same triggers. The only thing you have to watch are accu-trigger and pre-accutrigger. They have a 4 oz to 3 lb trigger for all Savages. Then they have a 1 - 3 pound trigger for the pre accu-trigger and another one for the accu-trigger Savages. I used the 1 - 3 pound for pre accu-trigger. They both installed real easy, nice and crisp. Easy to install on my rifles, just took a little time and patience to get all of the screws adjusted properly. After getting it all adjusted the way I wanted, I degreased them and added finger nail polish to the screws to "lock " them in. Good luck to you ;D

I installed a Timney because they were a little cheaper at Midsouth than the RB trigger. It's great. Worth every penny.

The adjustable 3-screw savager trigger is the same as the timney or rifle basics triggers.  I bought mine from NorthLand shooters Supply for under $30.

I installed it on my Stevens 200 and its great.  I installed and adjusted it per their instructions and it was easy.  I had it weighed and it breaks a 2.5 lbs, no creep and no overtravel.  It even came with a lighter weight trigger spring. It is a much better value than the Timney or RB.

Look on the Savage shooters forum for the advertisement for Northland Shooters Supply.  They dont have a website but they have phone and email.  The guys name is Jim Briggs.  Great service!

What are the differences with the Northland trigger? I know the Timney trigger takes alot of the wobble out of the stock trigger.

Is there any difference?
