Mossberg Single shot Rifle

I handled one of these a while back and wondered why they stopped producing them?  Were these decent rifles and how did they compare to the Ruger #1?  Thanks...

Seems I recall there were comments floating around that Mossberg suspended production to concentrate on the production of the ATR.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful.  There is little discussion these days about it.
