Bersa 9
« on: November 30, 2007, 07:16:26 PM »
found a smokin deal on a Bersa Thunder 9 and found this to be a great entry level gun.  My first handgun.  Very pleased with the Thunder so far.  I've got Break free powder remover and Remington oil.  Sound like a good regimen of products.  Please elaborate.  Less frequent full-disassembly needed?

I have a Bersa Thunder .380 that was my first semi-auto handgun.  It's been a pretty reliable side arm with only a few jams over the last few years.  I don't carry it anymore but it was fun to shoot...very accurate.  When cleaning, I use RemOil for about everything and use GunScrubber only when needed.  After a typical day at the range, I field strip it and clean everything I can get to and make sure everything is well lubed before I put it back up.  Only a few times have I completely disassembled the entire gun and cleaned it.  I normally only do this after a gun gets wet or I can see that it got dirt in it or something.

Enjoy the Bersa!
