Pardner Pump Barrel Question
« on: December 02, 2007, 07:55:12 AM »
**EDIT** I see where I can order a Rifled Slug barrel for my pardner pump.  Can I do this without sending the action to H&R?  I know there is no fitting required. OK I just realized my reciever would have to be drilled and tapped, I don't want to do this.  My next question is will part #377 (12Ga. Bull 24" rifled barrel) fit my .30-6 Handi with the Camo laminates?

Thanks!

No, but you could put the 20ga bull barrel or any other shotgun barrel except 10ga on that receiver.

BlueIron, for $61 you could get the Pardner Protector barrel and shoot the rifled slugs.  You would still have to get it d & t'd for a scope, but that wouldn't be so bad.  You could probable have it done for the money you would save on the barrel and you could shoot the CHEAPY slugs so you woudl be savin' money there too.  Just my 2 cents

You must have the first year production Pardner pump with the rounded back receiver? The last couple years production (hump back receiver) have all been drilled and tapped from the factory.

Yeah, got mine about a month after they came out.  Best $200 gun I've ever owned.

The last time I checked, it was about $12/hole for a D&T.  You could do the Protector 18 1/2" barrel and a D&T for about $100.  Shoot the cheaper, rifled slugs and have a nice slug gun.  Just my 2 cents

Well Part #377 claims to be 12Gauge.

It is indeed a 12 gauge barrel but note that it is grouped under the 10 gauge barrels on the Ordering Form and for good reason - the Ultra Slug is really a 10 ga barrel bored specifically for 12 ga slugs and thus requires the special 10 gauge frame.
