Fleshing a Otter?????

Ok Guys?
I sacrificed a coyote board and re-sized it for otter, Thanks Trapper-Jack for the board info link.
Now I got the Jammies off the little sucker and need to know how to flesh it?
Is and otter fleshed like a mink? kind of leave a layer or do I scrap it clean?
I have to say that this is the first otter I've ever skinned and I've never fleshed on before either.
I have personally only caught one myself and that one is mounted, no skinning on my part.
I'm putting up some fur for another trapper and this otter was in the pile.
I done a fair share of coon and lots of other critters. Guess I should have took the time to watch Greg do a otter at convention.
I know I will make a point of watching him this fall.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mac otter are easily once you get the hang of it.  This fall i helped put up 42 otter in one day!  Dont know what type of fleshing knive you have but they do help if you have good one.   Flesh all fat and muscle off otter.   On the tail   where the two  rows of fat  on each side of tail ; score with sharp knife with  cross cuts or x's.  This   will   let you use fleshing knive and easily remove fat  on tail... if you dont you can cut into tail or cut off as fat  when not scored   will keep tail  in curved upward position and not flat.   If you arent   comfortable using  fleshing knive, you can use a  bvr knive and flesh otter   as  you would  clean skinning a bvr if you understand that.  I ve done that years back  and it works well but takes longer.    Lee[ your fleshing beam damp and  the otter fur damp as your fleshing throughout  your fleshing procedure  as it keeps from singing the fur  which will happen if dry.  A spray bottle of water works well.    WHen you tack out tail , keep it short and wide as mink tails..   any question email or pm me.
