40 Gr. 22 caliber
« on: March 01, 2008, 10:46:16 AM »
I've heard guys are using the 40 gr. Nosler ballistic tips in their .22 caliber center fires with great results. A lot of them are in .223 and .22-250, but the only thing I have is an old Ruger 77 .220 Swift. I have also heard that the guys are having good luck with Reloader 15 in these calibers. So my question to you is, do any of you have a Swift load with these bullets and powder that seem to shoot good and if so would you share? Thanks in advance.   RRM

RRM,

I don't have a load for Reloader 15, but I use 44gr of H414 with a 40gr V-Max. I clocked these at 4150fps last fall when I borrowed dad's chronograph. I will have to look and see if I can find reloading info for Reloader 15 as I use that in my .223.
