Looking to buy a Handi

I have been looking at the handi for a couple of months now and I hope to get one for Christmas. My question is this. I would really like to get a 7mm 08 but I would like to get it with the laminated stock like on the Ultra Hunter Rifle. They dont show a 7mm 08 for the Ultra Hunter only one the Handi ? Does H & R put the 7 mm 08 (or the 45/70) out in that Unltra hunter model ?

Welcome! Not yet, but next year the 45-70 will be available with a 24" stainless barrel in an Ultra. The only way to get 7mm-08 in an Ultra would be to make one by adding a laminated stock set to a Handi, or buying an Ultra in one of the other chamberings and sending it in for a 7mm-08 accessory barrel. The stocks sets can be bought from H&R and Brownell's or in the NEF classified forum here.

I have had good luck trading stocks on this site.
You can basically pay the difference in value plus a little freight.

I don't know what the deal is with the Ultras.
They don't even offer a 270 or 30-06.
