New Load for my T/C 50/209

I have a good load for my T/c m/l right now .its 2 triple 7 pellets with a 250gr hornaday sst or t/c shockwave. It shoots great and no complaints with that load.However I am wanting to load it for 200yds and Tried it with 3 triple7 pellets .....it was all over the paper @ 200yds.So I bought some 300gr sst ( I Read in my american hunter) awhile back that they were getting under 1inch groups with 3 triple7 pellets and a 300gr bullet And that this load was deadly out to 200yds. What is your experience with this load? and does it really shoot that well out to 200yds? the trajectory on the box claims with a 3inch high zero @100yds will get you in @7inches low @ 200yds..What do you think? I am also thinking about using a volume powder measure to dial it in with loose powder.Then weighing that load in my powder scale  to reproduce it more accurately.Will this really help that much? And lastly My son bought me some Shockey's Gold to try out.........Out of  the 3 ...Triple7 Shockey's and Pyrodex...Which do you prefer and why?? Thanks all Drop

I'm shooting the 300gr SST in an MMP sabot with 110grs loose 777 FFG(Or 81.4grs on my digital scale) , Nikon Omega scope. I can effectively hit my target with a lethal shot out to 150yds. I've yet to try out to 200 though. If weather permits I'll let ya know.
I prefer 777 as it is cheaper than J. Shockeys Gold and cleans up better than Pyrodex. I don't feel the need to beat my shoulder with a 150gr charge and I'm more comfortable taking game out no further than 125yds, the 200 yard shot is definately a confidence builder.

If your using 777 ffg  a 150g charge is not needed, it's higher energy than the pellets.
 Find the "most accurate" load at 100yds, probably somewhere between 90-110g's, and then just practice at 200 so you "KNOW" where to hold the sights. What some magazine printed about their particular test gun may not coincide with yours.

I have a couple box's of the 300gr sst with the easyload sabot....Was going to try and us them for a load this season...got busy and didnt gitrdone...My son killed another one with my encore with 2 777 pellets and the 250gr shockwave..... devisatating at 100yds....But when I triedthat bullet with 3 777pellets it wouldnt group as well...I figure the powder is overdriveing the bullet.and I wonder how much powder is being used and how much is being wasted.......I am wondering about just returning them and sticking with the 2 pellet load and fine tunning it from there.and then going to loose powder.........I really do want 200yd capabilities.......T/C swears that with 2 pellete  Hold it at the top of the deer's back..and it will drop right in the killzone....What do you guy's think would be the most accurate...lethal?? I shoot,either 120grs. loose T7,or 3 pellets,T7 or Pyrodex,with a 250gr. Shock/Wave. The gun loves these loads,and dosen't seem to care which you use. I shot a buck this year at 162yds,head on,and the bullet hit right on the money! I've shot 2 liter soda bottles,filled with water,at 200yds. and 250yds. It hits them,shot after shot. The 300 should be better at long range,but I can't see the diffrence in my gun. Ron
