Handloading the 45 Colt
« on: December 17, 2007, 05:08:05 PM »
The latest issue of Handloader: Ammunition Reloading Journal has an article of reloading the 45 Colt.  They are calling it a "refresher course", just in case anybody is interested.

This article is by Mike Venturino.

The focus is on duplicating the original black powder ballistics.

3 of 4 bullets are FPRN and the fourth is full WC.

While these are my kind of loads, I recognize they are not everyones cup of tea.

Good recipes if you are looking for 230 - 260 grain bullets between 700 and 900 fps.
