.308win & 150-168g bullets
« on: December 15, 2007, 07:53:14 AM »
Is anybody getting decent accuracy with their .308win Encores with the 150g class bullets? Long range as well 300yds+.
1-10 twist seems like it would favor the 165's and up but I've heard of many 30-'06 Encores not "liking" the 180's.
Thanks.

I have had the best accuracy with 150 coreloct as compared to 150 partition or 150 bronze points. I have a standard barrel cut to 20"

My standard T/C factory barrel shoots about 1" at 100 with 150 gr. Cor-lokts. That's "dead deer" enough for me. Don't know about longer ranges yet but will find out in the spring.
