Why is the Apex so much more then a Optima Elite?
« on: March 21, 2009, 03:59:25 PM »
I noticed that the Optime to optima Elite price jump is like $60 or so. The jump from the Accura to the Apex is more like $200.

Why??

There is little price difference between a ThompsonCenter and the Apex. Maks you wonder.

quality costs more. The Apex has an adjustable trigger. they say 3 to 5 lbs but i heard from UC that if can go down to 2.5lbs

Every new product always starts out high and then drops sharply in a year or 2. Apex is a big update in looks over the optima elite.

Accura is on my sweet list

I own an optima elite in 50 caliber and have the 270 barrel.  I love the posts that say the muzzleloader will blow up in your face, but the centerfire is no danger.  Go figure.

bergara uses the same material  on their muzzleloader barrels and they use on their centerfire barrels.

I know which is why I say if I can shoot the centerifre barrel without it blowing apart, I am not too worried about a muzzleloader barrel.
