I've hunted lions with my clients a number of times with these bushman as trackers. They almost seem as if they have more animal instinct then human in many ways.

I have a new 10 week old German shorthair pointer now, when giving thought to his name I could only think of one in respect to the finest race of hunters on earth today.

I named him .......Bushman........

I can only hope that my dog will grow to hunt as well as these people do.

The hunter might be tough and persistent but not nearly so much so as that camera man running with him with camera and batteries for 8 hours of filming.

I had that same conversation with my wife yesterday. We wondered what kind of relay camera man event they must have had. Did the air footage have a new rested camera man get dropped off so they could continue?

Interesting in that the filming had to be as brutal as the hunting!

I really enjoyed the comment about the spiritual connection between game and hunter.  This to me is what hunting is about.  Sure I'd like to do some trophy hunting some day, but hunting for meat is why I'm out and the subsequent commune with nature.  Too bad more hunters do not feel this way as there would be fewer shots at 400 yds and less game wounded.  Get close as you can and then put the bullet at the point of aim.
