scope rail question
« on: December 18, 2007, 01:56:26 PM »
I ordered an ultra scope rail and hammer spur along with two accessory barrels a while ago.  H&R charged me for the scope rail and spur, but did not ship it.  I called them about it, and they said they didn't stock them anymore.  Anyone else have this problem?

It's very possible they eliminated the Ultra rail, that will make some folks unhappy, I'm sure. Who did ya talk to?? They may have meant they're just out of stock....hopefully???? Did they give your money back or what was the resolution for the missing rail?

Can't remember the lady's name, think I've talked to her before though.  She said she would send out a standard rail and the two hammer extensions I was missing.

Oh no, not another bad decision by some unknown management type somewhere. The Ultra rails really have their place for some applications. The next thing you know they will be eliminating ejectors and replacing them with extractors only. Oh wait a minute, that was another on their growing list of "the worst business decisions of the year by firearms manufacturers"....<><....:(

Sounds to me like it's the same type of (what appears to me to be a inventory control/customer service/order taking problem ) that they seem to be able to live with. Best advice after my similar problems is. Every time you call get name time date and a statement from the person you talk to and read it back to that person so all is correct... make sure you do it on every call then when these problems happen maybe they will make someone accountable for the problems and correct them before ya wait 6-12 weeks to find out you have a problem. I don't think it's all that bad til it happens to you. Kurt

Yes, the ultra scope base has been discontinued. I called about a month ago and the customer service rep. said there was a lack of interest in that mount.
