Centerfire Barrel on Sidekick Frame
« on: December 28, 2007, 08:26:09 PM »
I see that NEF lists muzzel loading barrels can be installed on the SB2 frames, but I cannot locate information about installing centerfire barrels on Sidekick frames.  Can it be done?

In a word, NO.

The Sidekick is built on a frame which is shorter, breech to pivot,  than the SB1 or SB2 and is not compatible with centerfire barrels, either shotgun or rifle. It is designated "Muzzle Loader Only."

If you were to custom fit a centerfire barrel yourself you'd be in violation of federal laws regarding the Non-Firearm status of muzzle loaders, essentially creating an illegal 'zip-gun'.

what Hammerspur said....... plus it's not a hardened reciever. DO NOT ATTEMPT,  you'll end up maimed or in a box.
