« on: January 12, 2008, 04:53:15 PM »
just finished dozing off about 3/4 of an acre on 30 acres of woods i own with an old hd6 allis i fixed up.i plan in the spring to plant a food plot. its right in the corner of 2 pastures and 2 wood plots. im thinking some turnips and maybe some other deer specific type greens.any suggestions on what to plant?it is a old post oak flat so the dirt is pretty fertile, could use some lime possibly and maybe some fertilizer during the spring rains.

Unless you wanna mess with soybeans, or corn..I would go with ladina clover.. They flat tear it up down here. And its a perenial so you usually get at least two or three years minimum out of one planting..
