somewhat rare factory barrel? .44 mag 16" tapered
« on: December 26, 2007, 06:04:17 AM »
This is a barrel I bought brand new at a local shop about 8 years ago.  I have shot it a few times as a carbine and it has quite a kick in the 4 1/2 pound gun.  I haven't seen this barrel anywhere else though...is it common?  What about a value on the used market?  I'm thinking of getting something else with less recoil for a carbine.  It is in like new condition.  Thanks for your help! --Jamie

I think that's what they called the "Super 16".  I have one in 223.  It's actually 16 1/4 inches and can, legally, go either way, carbine or handgun, I think.  My frame was originally a handgun.
